Concepts and Projects of Unusual Robots That May Become Real

Robots are no a lot more the matter of science fiction. They are being widely applied in science and production, and are likely to enter all other spheres of life in the near future (most likely, in the next ten years). Spy Robot Concept A Japanese designer Norio Fujikawa presented a concept of robotic spider that can be used as a spy. The spying robot has legs, which permit far better mobility and access to the locations that a robot with wheels could not reach. Kanibot (this is how the designer known as his work) will be equipped with a high-resolution camera, a movement sensor and a radio interface. Mechanical Forester A concept of a robot that can be used for making the life better was presented by designer Anna-Karin Bergkvist. A concept of a robot, made for planting trees, is quite achievable to turn out to be a real machine. The designer provided the construction with four legs and a little cargo bay that may hold 320 seedlings (it is a small grove). Robo-Cop for Road Patrol Designer Carl Archambeault suggested a concept of a road police robot of the future. His Scarab is a robotic electric auto that will make the road pursuit less difficult and much less dangerous. When the road police chase a violator, they will mark his/ her car with unique radar. After that Scarab starts a chase. When it gets close sufficient to the violator, it will emit an electromagnetic pulse that will switch off all the electronics in the car it chases. Robotic Plant Robots do not usually serve some specific requirements. They do not usually resemble humans or animals and do not always look like mechanic devices. Akira Nakayasu created a robot that looks like a pot plant. It has 169 mechanical branches. Each of them has a separate engine. The robot scans the region above with an infrared scaner and follows the moving objects with its branches.
